Membership

Membership of the Association falls into two main categories:

a) Property Manager Members who are persons, firms or companies managing real or heritable property in Scotland.

b) Ordinary Members who are persons who manage real or heritable property in Scotland. Ordinary Members must be sole proprietors or partners or directors or consultants or associates of firms or companies which are Property Manager Members of the Association in Scotland. A minimum of two years' full time experience as a property manager is expected of applicants. No particular educational qualifications are expected but favourable consideration is given to holders of a professional qualification from either the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Institute of Residential Property Management or Chartered Institute of Housing.

The Members endeavour to offer a high standard of professional service to owners and developers of all types of property from modern flats and traditional tenements to office blocks, industrial units and shopping centres. Many are able to provide a comprehensive management function together with a complete range of in-house services including surveying, valuation, insurance and estate agency. Advice is also available on the financial and technical aspects of property management.
