Our Member Firms are in a position to provide advice to homeowners groups and developers on issues such as:

• Guidance on Title Deeds, including areas of common property and determining allocation among groups of homeowners
• Reviewing draft Deed of Conditions and providing practical comment on relevant issues which may arise
• Guidance on maintenance obligations for land shared in common

Complaint about your Factor?

Since the Property Factors (Scotland) Act 2011 came into being, PMAS is not able to resolve complaints from the clients of their member firms.

The Act determines your complaint route:  In the first instance, you must exhaust your Factor’s complaints procedure, unless your Factor is not responding to your complaints.

If your Factor is unable to resolve your complaint, after you have completed their procedure, you can then refer your complaint to the First Tier Tribunal for Scotland, Housing and Property Chamber. Your Factor will provide you with details of this as part of the final stage of their internal complaints procedure.
