The Tenements Today – Tenements Tomorrow conference will take place on the 18th September at the Lighthouse in Glasgow from 9.30am – 4.30pm.
The conference, which is to be held in Glasgow, will focus on the future of tenement legislation and look at where improvements could be made.
Many urban Scots live in tenements and are aware that they can pose a task to residents when it comes to maintenance and repairs. The unique event is an opportunity to inform and provoke owners and professionals to address the current issues in the provision relating to tenement repair.
This will be a great chance to hear from speakers who bring fresh new perspectives to the discussion on new tenement legislation. Joining the conference will be a behavioural economist, mediators and leading law experts meaning who will give an idea of the wider context of the debate.
Most importantly though, this is an opportunity for delegates to express their views on what must be done to preserve tenements to put to Parliamentarians to help establish new tenement legislation that will tackle some of the problems currently faced by owners.
The conference is being organised by Scottish Civic Trust, Built Environment Forum Scotland and Under One Roof.
PMAS is proud to support Under One Roof in its efforts to impartially inform on common ownership of property.
Bookings for the conference can be made via Eventbrite. Tickets cost £45 for those who are waged with free places for tenement owners. You can view the Agenda by clicking the image.
